NOTICE TO ALL PRESERVE LICENSE MEMBERS AND ANY OTHER PERSON OR PERSONS HUNTNG AT CAMANCHE HILLS HUNTING PRESERVE:

Effective October 1, 2009, the upland game bird hunting areas will be restricted from the use of raw lead shot. This is a new addition to the EBMUD Watershed Rules and Regulations. Lead shot may only be used in the designated "Lead Reclamation Areas" such as the Sporting Clay courses and the Trap and Skeet Range. You may use any approved, non-toxic ammunition. We will have an assortment of waterfowl and upland game bird ammunition available at our Pro Shop for re-sale.

** You may use Steel, Tungsten, Bismuth, Hevi-shot, Black Cloud, Copper or Nickel shot

** Steel shot, Hevi-shot, Nickel & Copper are available

Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve releases thousands of game birds each year. Many of these remain on the preserve to propagate. Situated on 1500 acres of rolling hills and lake shoreline, our preserve features upland game birds & water fowl.

Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve has carefully planned every facet of its facilities to ensure a memorable experience afield for every hunter on every shoot.

Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve is located on EBMUD property adjacent to Camanche North Shore Recreation Area which offers overnight motels and cottages, campgrounds, hiking, horseback riding, boating, skiing & fishing.

For those who plan a longer visit there are nearby towns that still reflect the days of the gold rush, wine vineyards and nearby accomodations including the Jackson Rancheria Hotal and Casino.

BIRDS
Our Pheasants, Chukar, California Valley Quail and Mallard Ducks are beautiful, fast-flying descendants of carefully selected breeders.

Dog rentals with handlers available by reservation only.

COVER
Scientifically planned cover provides a variety of hunting conditions to suit all preferences.

CLUB FACILITIES
Hunters and their families enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the clubhouse and picnicking on its spacious grounds overlooking beautiful Camanche Hills area. 

The Preserve is open Wednesday - Monday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
